Tim Sbranti takes over as chair of Innovation Tri-Valley

Innovation Tri-Valley named its 2026-27 board of directors on Thursday, with Tim Sbranti as chair.

Sbranti is executive director of the Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council. Locally he is better known from 12 years on the Dublin City Council, six of them as mayor, and five years as a trustee of the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District. He also spent six years on the leadership group's own staff as director of strategic initiatives.

He succeeds Stephanie Beasly, an executive strategist at Sandia National Laboratories, who stays on the board as immediate past chair.

"I am honored to follow her as Chair and excited to build on the momentum that she has created," Sbranti said of Beasly.

The rest of the table: Rich Hoyt, senior managing director at Newmark, is vice-chair and chairs the business innovation committee. Misty Jones, president and chief executive of Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley, is treasurer. John Ohab of the Hertz Foundation is secretary. John Sensiba, a partner at Sensiba LLP, chairs the nominating committee, and attorney Sblend Sblendorio of Hoge Fenton chairs the housing, infrastructure and transportation committee. Katie Marcel remains chief executive.

At-large directors are Sheryl Hingorani, chief of staff at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory; Alex Mehran Jr. of Sunset Development Company and Bishop Ranch; Don Marek, president of Fremont Bank; Dyrell Foster, president of Las Positas College; and Veena Kaul of Kensington Laboratories and Dublin Technology Center Workspaces.

Hingorani and Jones are the two new directors. Beth McCormick, a workforce development consultant, and Anthony Redondo, a vice president at Blackhawk Network, rotate off after completing full terms.

The group has operated for more than 15 years across Danville, Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and San Ramon, a region it puts at $52 billion in economic output.
