Pleasanton's cultural celebration series starts with Diwali Oct. 17

Pleasanton kicks off its Cultural Celebration Series with a vibrant Diwali celebration on Saturday, October 17, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Blvd. The event marks the beginning of a year-long series of cultural celebrations designed to bring the community together through arts, music, and learning.

The Diwali celebration, like the rest of the series, is free and family-friendly, offering residents and visitors a chance to experience the rich cultural tapestry of Pleasanton. The event is expected to draw a diverse crowd, fostering a sense of unity and appreciation for the various cultural backgrounds represented in the community. This initiative by the City of Pleasanton aims to enhance community engagement and cultural awareness among residents.

The Cultural Celebration Series, organized through the Firehouse Arts Center and sponsored by the Friends of the Pleasanton Library, is a testament to Pleasanton's commitment to cultural diversity.
