The City of Dublin Economic Development Division partnered with regional commerce mentors on Tuesday to host an intensive small-business workshop at Dublin Civic Center, providing dozens of aspiring restaurateurs, retailers, and software founders with practical tools to launch commercial enterprises across the Tri-Valley corridor. Convening at the council chambers on Civic Plaza, municipal specialists guided participants through streamlined zoning reviews, commercial lease evaluations, and municipal grant opportunities.

The workshop featured specialized guidance from the East Bay Small Business Development Center, instructing entrepreneurs on how to access low-interest revolving loan funds administered by Alameda County and state financial programs. City officials presented data highlighting Dublin's rapid commercial growth, pointing to new mixed-use developments along Dublin Boulevard and Grafton Street that offer prime storefront opportunities for independent culinary merchants and retail services.

Local business owners attending the session welcomed the city's proactive outreach, noting that navigating commercial building codes and environmental health regulations often poses significant challenges for first-time operators. Dublin's economic development staff offered one-on-one consultation desks, enabling attendees to conduct live permit pre-screenings and verify water and fire safety requirements on the spot.

Prospective entrepreneurs, retail operators, and commercial tenants can download complete startup toolkits, local demographic profiles, and commercial property listings online at dublin.ca.gov/business. Questions regarding upcoming entrepreneurial workshops, commercial facade grants, and municipal business assistance programs can be directed to the Dublin Economic Development Department Monday through Friday at (925) 833-6650. The city will host an advanced digital marketing seminar for local merchants next month at the Dublin Civic Center.
