City of Dublin Opens Application Window for Two Below-Market-Rate Condominiums at Dublin Centre
Affordable homeownership initiative offers two-bedroom residences for qualifying families earning between 80 and 120 percent of area median income.

The City of Dublin announced on Tuesday morning that it has officially opened the lottery application window for two newly constructed below-market-rate homeownership condominiums at the Dublin Centre development near Dublin Boulevard and Golden Gate Drive. Municipal housing officials noted that the initiative provides local working families, educators, and municipal workers an opportunity to achieve permanent homeownership in an increasingly competitive Tri-Valley real estate market. Applications will remain open through November 14 before an independent public drawing overseen by the city clerk.
Both available residences feature two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and approximately 1,180 square feet of living space equipped with high-efficiency electric heat pumps and dedicated electric vehicle charging conduits. To qualify for the program, applicant households must earn between 80 and 120 percent of Contra Costa and Alameda County area median income, with preference points granted to households that live or work within the municipal limits of Dublin. Selected buyers will enter into a 30-year deed restriction program designed to preserve long-term affordability while allowing reasonable equity accumulation.
The Dublin City Council and municipal planning commission highlighted that inclusionary zoning ordinances have successfully generated dozens of deed-restricted residences throughout downtown transit corridors over the past three years. Neighboring civic leaders across Pleasanton, San Ramon, Danville, and Walnut Creek praised Dublin's proactive developer partnership model, which requires residential builders to either construct on-site affordable units or contribute substantial in-lieu funding directly into the municipal housing trust fund.
Prospective buyers, housing advocates, and local residents can review complete eligibility requirements, maximum income tables, and document submission checklists online at dublin.ca.gov. Inquiries regarding HUD-certified homebuyer education certificates and mortgage pre-approval guidelines may be directed to the Dublin Housing Division Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM at (925) 833-6610. The city will host a free virtual homeownership workshop on Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM.
