New in Livermore: five chamber ribbon cuttings from June through September

Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters has opened at 1320 Railroad Ave. in Livermore. The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce held the grand opening ribbon cutting on Aug. 4, where chamber president and CEO Sherri Souza presented a Certificate of Congratulations to owner Sadia Kahn and Livermore Mayor John Marchand presented a Declaration of Welcome. Mountain House Mayor Andy Su presented a certificate as well.

It was the second ribbon cutting at that address this summer. Livermore Grocery Outlet reopened there after a remodel, with a ceremony on July 2. Chamber board chair Kimbrely Gruidl handed the Certificate of Congratulations to owners Gajen and Rajee Gajendran, and Marchand again brought the Declaration of Welcome.

Three more since mid-June:

• SYNERGY HomeCare, 4049 First St., Suite 223. Ribbon cutting June 18. Chamber co-chair Mark Allen presented the certificate to owner and CEO Vivian Mendoza, and Marchand presented a Certificate of Welcome. Certificates were also presented on behalf of Sen. Jerry McNerney and Alameda County Assessor Phong La.
• Pearle Vision, 3024 W. Jack London Blvd. Ribbon cutting June 15. Gruidl presented the certificate to owner Preet Toor and Councilmember Steve Dunbar presented a Declaration of Welcome, with a certificate from Phong La.
• SAIL Internet, Sept. 18. Souza presented the certificate to Jennifer Wickliffe, the company's director of business sales, and Vice Mayor Kristie Wang presented a Declaration of Welcome, alongside a certificate from Assemblymember Bauer-Kahan. The chamber did not publish a Livermore address for the company.

The chamber holds these ceremonies for new and newly joined members, so the date on the ribbon is not always the day a business first opened its doors - Grocery Outlet's was a re-opening after a remodel.

Taken together, the list is a map of where new business landed in Livermore over the summer: two storefronts on Railroad Avenue, an eyewear shop on West Jack London Boulevard, a home care agency on First Street, and an internet provider selling to local businesses.
