Livermore installs three digital kiosks at the Civic Center and L Street garage

Livermore has installed three interactive digital kiosks at city buildings and one downtown garage, the city said in a notice posted Friday, Aug. 21.

They sit outside the City Council Chamber at the Civic Center Meeting Hall, inside the Civic Center Library, and at the L Street Parking Garage downtown.

None of them are running yet. The two Civic Center kiosks are expected to be operational by the end of September. The L Street Garage kiosk is expected to be working around November.

Once they are on, the screens will carry live and recorded City Council meetings, City of Livermore video content, program and event information, emergency resources and public safety messaging, wayfinding and directions, and other real-time updates. The kiosks are made by Eflyn.

The placement follows the city’s own foot traffic: two where residents already come for city business, one where downtown visitors park.

The notice did not list a cost for the kiosks or a contract term.
