Five Tri-Valley mayors take questions at a Livermore chamber luncheon

The mayors of all five Tri-Valley communities sit on one stage Thursday at Garre Vineyard & Winery in Livermore. The Tri-Valley Mayors Summit luncheon runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., indoors.

Danville Mayor Newell Arnerich, Dublin Mayor Sherry Hu, Livermore Mayor John Marchand, Pleasanton Mayor Jack Balch and San Ramon Mayor Mark Armstrong are scheduled to answer questions and give updates on their cities and town.

Catharine Baker moderates. She directs the University of California Student and Policy Center and represented the 16th Assembly District from 2014 through 2018.

The summit rotates each year among the five chambers of commerce in Danville, Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and San Ramon. This year it is the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce's turn, its first since 2021, when it held the event at Wente Winery.

"We look forward to hearing from these leaders about their current views on local government during one of the most challenging periods of time, in modern history, and how they intend to support and lead the local economy going forward," said Sherri Souza, the chamber's president and chief executive.
