55-bed memory care building under permit review on Inspiration Drive

Dublin’s long-awaited 55-bed memory care facility at 7500 Inspiration Drive is nearing the final stages of approval, with its building permit currently under review by city officials. The project, which has been in the works for nearly four years, marks a significant addition to the city’s senior living infrastructure, offering specialized care for those with memory-related conditions.

The development is expected to have a profound impact on the local community, particularly for families and caregivers seeking specialized care options for loved ones with memory impairments. The facility will provide a range of services in a secure environment, designed to meet the unique needs of residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. This addition could alleviate some of the pressure on existing care facilities and provide much-needed support for local families.

The project has a rich history of civic engagement and planning. The environmental initial study was published in October 2020, and after a series of public hearings and reviews, the Planning Commission recommended approval in April 2022. The City Council adopted the site development review permit and the tentative parcel map in May 2022, followed by the creation of the planned development zoning district in June 2022. The one-story building, spanning 35,089 square feet on 1.63 acres, will be located on Parcel 2 of the Valley Christian Center property.

The project, led by Jason Reyes of Selina Kyle LLC, is part of a larger senior living development by Fulcrum Real Estate Development. The memory care building will be accompanied by an 84-unit assisted living facility, described as a three-story structure about 40 feet tall and 75,112 square feet in size. The site, situated above the Dublin Boulevard corridor near the I-580 and I-680 interchange, was a focal point of public comment during the council’s deliberations in 2022 due to its proximity to the Valley Christian Center.

While the memory care building is close to securing its building permit, the timeline for completion and opening remains uncertain. Neither the city record nor the developer’s project page lists an opening date, rates, or a waitlist process for the memory care facility. Similarly, the assisted living phase has yet to publish its own schedule.
