The City of Dublin has announced the return of the popular Dublin Night Market along Saint Patrick Row, expanding the outdoor cultural gathering into a four-event series this season. Municipal event organizers scheduled the family-friendly festivities for select Friday evenings from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, beginning August 21 and continuing on September 25, October 23, and November 13. The expanded schedule will transform Saint Patrick Way into a bustling pedestrian plaza filled with local cuisine, artisan goods, and live musical performances.
The seasonal night market provides a festive open-air gathering space where Tri-Valley residents, families, and neighborhood workers can unwind after the workweek and support local micro-businesses. By closing Saint Patrick Way to motor vehicle traffic during each session, city officials create a safe, walkable promenade for pedestrians pushing strollers and browsing vendor stalls. The market also delivers a significant commercial boost to surrounding downtown merchants, encouraging patrons to explore neighboring eateries and specialty shops throughout the evening.
The initiative debuted in 2025 as a pilot project sponsored by the City of Dublin Parks and Community Services Department, drawing enthusiastic crowds that exceeded initial municipal attendance forecasts. Following that inaugural success, the Dublin City Council voted to expand the series from three to four monthly events to cultivate a vibrant, pedestrian-oriented downtown core. Civic planners noted that the night market also benefits from major retail developments in the adjacent shopping center, including the highly anticipated opening of the regional H-Mart Asian grocery anchor.
During each scheduled Friday event, Saint Patrick Way will close completely to through traffic starting early in the afternoon to accommodate staging, food trucks, and portable performance pavilions. Admission to the night market is free for all attendees, with food, beverages, and handcrafted merchandise available for purchase from dozens of verified East Bay vendors. Attendees can enjoy acoustic performances, international street food options, and interactive lawn games suitable for all age groups between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Municipal recreation staff will publish featured vendor lineups, rotating food truck menus, and musical artist schedules prior to each monthly gathering on city social media channels. Drivers visiting the area are advised to park in designated municipal garages or surface lots along Golden Gate Drive and Dublin Boulevard to avoid residential street congestion. Community members seeking vendor application information or event directions can reach the Dublin Parks and Community Services Department at (925) 556-4500 or visit the city's official web directory.
